Foundation members

The Urumaya Conservation Foundation was established in 2019 by:

  • Katrina Steel – Heritage Consultant

  • Caroline Wilby – Archaeology/Heritage Consultant

  • Theresa Zappulla – Archaeology/Heritage Consultant

  • Natalie Paynter – Archaeology/Heritage Consultant

  • Nicole Jacobs – Communications/Heritage Consultant.

The Foundation’s members are volunteers based in Australia and Sri Lanka who are specialists in the fields of heritage conservation, policy and management, archaeology, town planning, museology and photographic documentation, marketing and communications. 

Together, we offer extensive international experience having worked on heritage, urban planning and archaeology projects across Australia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
